"Alala" is a consummate synth-rock dance song with its driving rhythms, catchy chorus and plenty of artificial sound.

It's hard to know who she's submitting to, but the synth grinding away in the foreground elicits satisfied groans, like its her own music sending her over the edge. Call it narcissism or harmless self-love-- it makes a great single.

More endearing because that annoying chick doesn't have a jumped up dance-rock beat or, redeemer of many sins, a SYN-SCREECH SOLO.
